- Know and understand standard tea/beverage/food knowledge.
- Effective communication skills.

- Advanced training techniques.
- Ability to scan the dining floor and anticipate customer requests before the customer has to ask.
- Ability to converse in Thai and basic to intermediate English.

REPORT TO: Tea Lounge Manager

We are looking for a disciplined individual with a positive working attitude who is looking to build a solid career in F&B.

The SUPERVISOR / Tea Master would most likely already be working within a luxury hotel environment within the food and beverage department. The person should have sound general beverage knowledge, tea experience would be an advantage but this should not deter people form applying for this role as full tea training will be given, we are looking for people with the right attitude and who have a solid understanding of quality service and guest satisfaction. This role may well suit somebody who has experience working within quality hotel lobby lounges.

JOB SUMMARY:
Supervise staff in a branded European Tea Lounge as assigned. Upkeep the standards of quality service of Tea Lounge in line with the Lounge policies and procedures. Ensure that order is maintained in the Tea Lounge. Provide on-the-job training to service team and trainees.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure subordinate staff are trained to required levels and perform tasks as outlined in the manual and as needed.
- Make educated beverage recommendations to guest.
- Maintain tea counter and ensure it is fully stocked, clean and tidy through the service.
- Ensure that tea list and beverage list are consistently updated.
- Ensure that the outlet and tea equipment are kept clean and organized both at front as well as the back of the house and assets are properly maintained.
- Ensure that the fridge is kept stocked, clean and in the appropriate operational order at all times.
- Ensure all members of staff are groomed according to the set standards.
- Ensure tea counter is prepared to the set standard before the assigned time.
- Report maintenance faults if they arise.
- Responsible for checking the miss-en-place before opening.
- Handling guest complaints.
- Inform the staff of any new information about all beverages.
- Responsible for the training of all beverages to staff.
- Ensure that the communication with the Kitchen, Cashier and other supporting departments is effective.
- Supervise and train the staff on how to properly serve tea and other beverages according to the standard operational procedures.
- You are responsible for all issues, large or small within the tea lounge operation during your assigned supervisory shift. As well as any shortcomings of your junior staff.
- In charge of developing various tea promotions and events through the year.
- To be up to date with industry trends in the world of tea (which will be supported by the Management)
