Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for telephone and personal sales calls on accounts in assigned market areas, prospect for new clients and maintain current relationships, as well as data-base development.
- Follow up in a timely manner to support telephone and personal sales calls.
- Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
- Evaluate, solicit, sell and confirm business as required to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.
- Maintain an effective plan of correspondence.
- Participate in sales meetings and related industry specific organizations to represent the hotel, as well as network amongst the community.
- Have a complete working knowledge of the local competition and National/Global competition.
- Maintain a professional appearance and behavior at all times when representing the hotel or company.
- Travel as required within the assigned market areas to establish and maintain business relationships.
- Conduct tours of the property as required, including Familiarization trips and educational sites.
- Evaluate marketing opportunities within distribution channels and outside resources to increase awareness and revenue.
- Evaluate corporate, entertainment as well as group contracts, and maintain production and repeat business.
- Maintain report of daily activities including pre/post reports for sales calls.
- Set up and execute sales activity plan together with Senior Sales Managers, Director of Sales.
- Pro-active analysis needs of market developments, make proposals and take appropriate action
- Do regular competition analysis regarding the target market
- Assist in developing plans to increase sales volume and profit in the assigned market.
- Complete weekly sales call reports and attend sales team review meetings.
- Oversee coordination of various departments- activities related to booked business to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in industry-related organizations, promotions, and trade shows to represent the resorts.
- In addition, other duties may be required as directed by Director of Sales.
