1.JOB SUMMARY
The Restaurant Manager should oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant, ensuring guest service meets company standards and customer satisfaction is maintained
2.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
- Analyse and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability.
- Organise marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes.
- Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
- Create and execute plans for department sales, profit, and staff development.
- Set budgets or agree them with senior management.
- Plan and coordinate menus.
- Coordinate the operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
- Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff through orientations, ongoing feedback and by conducting performance reviews
- Respond to customer queries and complaints.
- Meet and greet customers, organise table reservations and offer advice about menu and wine choices.
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
- Check stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash.
- Respond to customer complaints, taking appropriate action to solve the problem.
- Closely monitor the safety of the restaurant guests and staff through execution of food safety and restaurant safety standards and guidelines.
- Lead all financial areas including sales growth, cost management, and profit growth.
- Have a good working knowledge of all equipment and efficiently takes care of preventative maintenance.
3.HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY.
- Attend any health, safety & security training as required by the company.
- Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards to your Superior.
- Be conversant with Health & Safety & Security Policies and procedures
4.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend work with full commitment and work in accordance with the business code of ethics
- Keep up to date with changes in policy and procedures
- Adhere to the hotels grooming policy
- Abide by the hotels rules and regulations
- Accept that management can change my job description and responsibilities at any time
