1.JOB SUMMARY
To generate business on accommodation, meeting & events, sports, food & beverage, golf, and other activities to the hotel. Identifies the markets and clients and promotes the hotel as well as share market intelligent to the team. Supervises and supports Sales Executives and Sales Coordinators.
2.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Meets the customers before and after each event.
- Is readily available for organizers at least half an hour before the start time.
- Is present upon the arrival and departure of the organizer, booker or trainer.
- Coordinates all operations of the event.
- Supports the organizer or owner throughout the event and during break times.
- Leads promotional activities required for all events.
- Supervises all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.)
- Documents and issues function sheets for each event.
- Approves all aspects of set up one day before the event.
- Ensure event is completed smoothly and set up to resolve any problems that might occur.
- Analyze each event- s success and prepare report for senior management.
- Conducts site inspections with potential guests.
- Lead the weekly banquet meeting, ensuring all details of each function is explained to all concerned.
- Continuously updates bookings and function sheets on the intranet.
- Entertains clients as and when required.
- Analyses sales results and competition, and recommends ways to improve the situation.
- Liaises with concerned departments to ensure operations deliver the best quality products and service to the clients.
- Presents weekly update of business on the book to Director of Sales.
- Presents monthly sales reports and Month end report by 5th of every month.
3.HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY.
- Attend any health, safety & security training as required by the company.
- Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards to your Superior.
- Be conversant with Health & Safety & Security Policies and procedures
4.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend work with full commitment and work in accordance with the business code of ethics
- Keep up to date with changes in policy and procedures
- Adhere to the hotels grooming policy
- Abide by the hotels rules and regulations
- Accept that management can change my job description and responsibilities at any time
