The tour and travel agent will be responsible for the selling, organizing and assistance of tours, accommodation and activities. Major focus on weekly and monthly sales targets for owned products, preferred products and overall commission. The position requires a personable and friendly manner, excellent organization skills, a self-motivated individual with a passion for customer service and travel. Travel agents will meet with guests to discuss and learn about their travel requirements. They are responsible for advising guests about suitable travel options in accordance with their needs and wants. Travel agents must consistently strive for a high enquiry to sale conversion.
- Sell and organize transport, accommodation and tours
- Be open for ad hoc tasks as needed and requested by the company activities and operations from time to time
- Provide travel information to incoming enquiries
- Cooperate with clients to determine their needs and advise them appropriate destination, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs and accommodations
- Managing day-to-day operations to achieve sales targets
- Ability to drive performance at fast pace environment and work under extreme pressure
- Contact with suppliers for price checking and itinerary changes
- Effectively participating with travelers on sites to encourage bookings
- Emergency support and driving resolutions of operations/customer issues
- Proactive business development including the use of social
