BASIC FUNCTION
Ensure that the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queens Park upholds and works towards finding new, innovative and economically reductive ways to stay green. This position needs to be self-motivated and self-managed with a reporting line to the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage.
Analytical skills who can pinpoint problems and research smart and effective ways to deal with them. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate, and manage project
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Self-managing, analytic and at the same time creative in solutions and communicate them effectively.
- Assess any inefficiencies in the Hotels waste management systems, identify the issues and find the most economical ways to fix them.
- The sustainability Manager as to have a high level of interpersonal skills, able to work across all departments within the hotel to achieve the common goal in line with the hotel sustainability policy.
- Chair the food waste comity and any future green comity set up in the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen- s park.
- Set up KPIs on all green projects, record and monitor the projects, tweak and develop.
- Measure Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen- s Park sustainability performance, keeping track of simple measurers of KPIs and setting up benchmarks with sister properties.
- The Sustainability Manager is responsible to reduce the food waste to land fill in line with the Hotel- s and Marriott International- s food waste goals.
- Audit of food waste with in the hotel and come up with solutions, weigh up the pros and cons, table it to the comity and then implement.
- Analyze the all waste, come up with solutions, weigh up the pros and cons, table it to the comity and then implement.
- Follow company and department Food safety & Sustainable policies and procedures.
- Operate and maintain Sustainable project, Sustainable food/Food waste /ISO 20121 etc.
- Responsible for sustainability policy and strategies, communicating plans, formulating budgets and marketing the plan in line with the - Sustainable Policy- .
- Formulate reporting data and stories on hotel sustainable green strategies, green projects, green activation plans and green achievements to hotel to internal and external guest, vendors and Marriott business councils.
- Formulate reporting data and stories Communications on hotel sustainable green strategies, and green achievements to Marcom department for all public communications and broadcastings.
- Ensure all projects follow and comply with Marriott International sustainability policy- s and requirements
- Ensure that the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen- s Park work in line with the Sustainable policy of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen- s Park Hotel.
- Attend networking events and green meetings to gain improvement ideas, local governance guild lines and widen your network.
- Attend all new hire on boarding programs to communicate the hotel sustainability policy.
- Identify and correct sustainable raw materials and food package comply Thai Law and MGS standard.
- Complete appropriate Sustainable training and certifications to perform work tasks.
- Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Follow company and department policies and procedures.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Report maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel (i.e., management or maintenance).
- Organize and Lead team to certify ISO 20121.
- Complete ISO 20121 training for Team and Associate.
- Organize Environment protection surrounding Hotel & community.
