Hostess

- Minimum 2 years- experience in a Restaurant Setting
- Any previous culinary training
- Good team player
- Ability to converse clearly in English
- Ability to take and follow instructions in both verbal and
written forms
- Basic mathematical skill to estimate wait times for guests
- Ability to be well organized
- High attention to detail
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision

- Maintain complete knowledge of the table/seat/station
numbers, room capacity and hours of operation of the
restaurant
- Schedule dining reservations for guests in advance and
as they arrive at the restaurant, designating relevant
tables to where a group will sit in the restaurant
- Greet guests as they arrive and take them to their seats,
provide a menu and explain specials, answer immediately
questions the patrons have and introduce the customers
to their server
- Estimate wait times for guests monitor the guest waiting
list, and ensure that the needs of the guests are met
while they are waiting
- Direct and instruct the Captains/Waiters on customer
needs to ensure customers receive fast and quality
service from the moment they arrive
- Ensure that all special requests by a group are informed
to the relevant personnel and handled efficiently (This
may include services needed for small children, as well as
for individuals with disabilities or food allergies.)
- Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for
empty and cleaned tables
- Should maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed
appearance per restaurant standards
