Chief Engineer [หัวหน้าแผนกช่าง]

JOB REQUIREMENT
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Sound knowledge in Building Services Engineering and management
- Good command in English.

Based at ASAI Bangkok Chinatown - targeted opening Feb. 2020.

The position is responsible in planning, executing and controling all engineering works in the hotel. Ensure that Fire Life & Safety and Security are following standard.


Primary responsibilities:

* Maintain the building and equipment in excellent condition.
* Maintain high morale and cohesion of all Technical Staff.
* Maintain effective communication between all other departments.
* Prepare budgets for expenditure, energy and staff.
* Appraise staff- s performance, praise/reprimand.
* Work order control.
* Preventive maintenance.
* Renovation projects.
* Systems improvement projects.
* Contracting out of works.
* Operation of all engineering systems.
* Renew all licenses relating to engineering systems.
* Control staff attendance and annual leave.
* Energy conservation.
* Provide training for staff.
* Recruitment of engineering staff.
* Attend/chair necessary meetings.
* Co-ordinate with the Chief Engineer and all Department Heads.
* Assist the Team Member in making decision on engineering matters.
* Manages the Security Department.
* Advises management on security matters.
* Trains all security personnel in their areas of responsibilities.
* Supervises all activities of security staff to ensure compliance with and proper application of department regulations and hotel policy.
* Reviews policies, procedures, and instructions on a regular basis.
* Evaluates possible hazards or threats to security.
* Promotes a safety attitude amongst all employees.
* Ensures safety of persons in the hotel and property assets.
* Reports irregularity in employee or guest behavior.
* Handles loss, damage and accidents.
* Handles, documents, and follows up with necessary persons any accidents occurring in the hotel premises.
* Investigates theft as reported by guest or employee.
* Documents all action in the department, including: emergencies, loss, theft, or accident.
* Participates in weekly department heads meeting. Rooms Division Meeting and any other if requested.
* Coordinates emergencies with local authorities. Maintains good relations.
* Reviews emergency procedures regularly.
* Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
