1 Ensures that all department staff performs duties in accordance with the hotel
policy.
2 Maintain a high degree of excellencies in sanitation and maintenance of the public
area.
3 Have full knowledge of all types of cleaning equipment and chemical.
4 Works in co-ordination with Assistant Executive Housekeeper in providing orientation to Public area attendants.
5 Trains all new staff, and provides regular training to Public area attendants to
improve job performance and meet the hotel standards.
6 Introduces all new staff to know Housekeeping Product Knowledge & hotel facilities and services .Explains all policies, tasks, procedures and standards to ensure the highest standard of service.
7 Demonstrates to all public area attendants how to perform each task in job description according to hotel standards.
8 Maintains regular and effective communication with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of housekeeping function.
9 Supervises a high standard of hygiene and sanitation throughout all service areas and back of the house.
10 Assists with performance appraisals of all public area attendants and prepares
Guidelines and time frames for improvement.
11 Participation in all staff and training meeting when directed by Executive Housekeeper.
12 Administers staff schedules to ensure sufficient staff, to cover workload and minimize overtime payment.
13 Prepares a checklist of cleaning tasks for public area attendants to use while cleaning and maintaining all service public areas.
14 Supervises the work of public area attendants and assists when necessary.
15 Inspects all public areas to ensure that hotel standard is met for cleanliness, function and aesthetic value.
16 Provides public area attendants with current information about hotel facilities, services and special events, who can make recommendations to guests
17 Maintains stock level requirements of materials, equipment and general supplies and ensures requisitions are made as required.
18 Removes furniture, curtains and other fixtures, which require repair, replacement, spotting or cleaning.
19 Checks and cleans all safety systems in assigned working areas.
20 Ensures all equipments and machines are cleaned and maintain in good condition and store correctly.
21 Submits to Assistant Executive Housekeeper regular reports on required equipment repair
22 Ensures high standards of personal appearance and hygiene with clean and pressed, uniforms and name badge as described in the staff handbook for all public area attendants.
23 Ensure schedule floor maintenance, shampooing carpet, and spring clean all outlets are assigned to public area attendants.
24 Controls inventory of all stock items including linen and cleaning agents to safeguard against loss.
25 Ensures all lost and found items are turned in directly on a daily basis, labeled, recorded and stored with Executive Housekeeper. ( valuable item only )
26 Any engineering issues should be reported directly to the Engineering Department.
27 Report any health and safety hazards to Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
28 Performs any other duties when assigned by Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Executive housekeeper.
