Responsible to the Front Office Manager for the general supervision of the Reception Desk and in the absence of the Front Office Manager the entre Front Office operation.

- Be thoroughly knowledgeable of all systems and systems and procedures, both computerized and manual, used in each section of the Front Office to ensure decisive supervision to all staff, as needed.
- Ensures that all reports required for the day-to-day operations are completed promptly and accurately. Including the morning reports to Housekeeping, the timely actioning of the two daily Housekeeping Reports sent to Front Office and the preparation of monthly statistical reports as required.
- Supervises along with the Guest Relation Officers the preparation of the Daily V.I.P list ensuring completed accuracy.
- Selects and block those rooms to be assigned to V.I.P guests and notifies the Executive Housekeeper as soon as possible to permit ample preparation. Issue the necessary VIP Requisition having it approved appropriately whenever necessary.
- Personally checks and monitors the input of data into the hotel computer system by reservations and particularly reception, checking that all information is concise and completely accurate.
- Ensures all Registration cards are completely filled out and accurate with appropriate rates and approval for such rates have been obtained where necessary and the timely and speedy input of this information into the hotel computer system immediately after guests arrival.
- Reviews and ensures that credit extended to guests is strictly controlled and that the method of payment is clearly understood and reasonable within the limits of the hotel credit policies.
- Constantly reviews the expected arrivals for the day to identify possible no-shows in order to maximize room utilization.
