- Develop working knowledge of all Finance Division positions as they relate to the overall workflow of the Finance Division reporting system.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of all revenue center procedures.
- Ensure that reports are prepared accurately and on time
- Supervise, train and develop Finance Division personnel
- Maintain proper internal control procedures
- Ensure smooth work flow of Accounts Payable, cash revenue, rebate journals and maintain journal vouchers in order to prepare monthly Operating Reports and Financial Statements on time
- Supervise and check the perpetual month-end inventory taking
- Work closely with Assistant Financial Controller in preparing the Annual Budget information and monthly Forecast Reports.
- Actively plan and participate in the preparation of monthly Operating Reports and Financial Statements.
- Cooperate with the Internal and External Auditors in completing schedules and supporting documents so their jobs can be completed expeditiously. Assist in implementing recommendations for improvement of internal control.
- Check bank reconciliation statements and ensure these are done religiously on a monthly basis.
- Check the preparation of depreciation and amortization schedules.
- Supervise the preparation of various governmental schedules and tax returns.
- Responsible for the construction/fixed asset accounting and coordinate closely with the Project Coordinator on matters relating to Hotel upgrading and construction accounting. This also applies to special projects.
- Supervise the inventory control staff and ensure proper records are kept for Fixed Assets Register and that transactions are updated posted on a regular basis
- Liaise closely with the Executive Chef, Beverage staff and various kitchen personnel in relation to food and beverage cost
- Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Finance or Assistant Financial Controller and assume the responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Controller in his/her absence
