Director of Human Resources

Education:
- bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience

Experience
- at least 7 years professional experience beyond the degree
- hotel operations experience, or human resources experience in the service industry

Specific Competencies, Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated excellent People Management and Communication skills
- demonstrated excellent interviewing and counselling skills
- training skills certified by educational or training organisation
- knowledgeable of hotel finances, productivity measures and compensation
- knowledgeable of local labour legislation

Additional Qualifications Desired
- caring, positive personal style
- experience implementing Human Resources Information Systems
- analytical; knowledgeable of college-level statistics

Trains and coaches all managers to be effective human resources managers in their department. Provides 4Ds and Department Managers with resources that facilitate Human Resources Management. Manages human resources data for the hotel and tracks the effectiveness of all systems and programs. Advises General Manager and 4Ds on strategic issues related to Human Resources.
