Assistant Safety and Security Manager

This position is expected to support and occasionally assume a manager role, managing and supervising the day to day security force of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property.

1. To review and conduct performance evaluations for Security team member.
2. To implement all policies and procedures regarding security and safety.
3. To design and implement preventive safety and security programs.
4. To prevent situations that could jeopardize the reputation of the hotel.
5. To investigate crimes committed against the hotel, guests, and team members.
6. To document all incidents occurring in the hotel in connection with crime, subversions, potential liabilities and insurance requirements.
7. To assist hotel team member in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to, disorderly conduct, thefts, suicides, bomb threats, employee or guest accidents, fire or safety hazards, robberies, terrorist activities, civil disturbance, power or elevator failures, medical assistance and natural disasters.
8. The ability to select, train, schedule, discipline and direct security personnel in all aspects of security policies and procedures.
9. To keep abreast of developments within the hotel and community as they relate to security as well as act as a liaison with local law-enforcement agencies.
10. To remain informed of current Federal and local laws and regulations as they relate to the hotel, particularly in areas of guest, patron and team member rights.
