DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and cook top-quality menu items in a timely manner, according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
Ensure that all stocks are well maintained, that mise en place for food preparation is completed.
Control food stock and food cost in the kitchen.
Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
Follow and maintain cleanliness and good hygiene practices in the kitchen.he proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage, comply with the conditions of the food hygiene policy
You would need to follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas as directed.
Inform Head Chef of excess food items for special use .
Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
Responsible for maintaining food logs.
Accepting store deliveries
Attend the training being conducted and implemented in daily operations and improve the quality of food.
Need to be flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times as and when required.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the management based upon the particular requirements of the company.
