1. Ensures that all staff in the Spa department is managed efficiently according to the established departmental objectives.
2. Ensures that the minimum operating standards are adhered to in order to achieve the level of service established in the Spa manual.
3. Assigns responsibilities to subordinates and checks their performance periodically.
4. Handles all guest complaints, requests and enquiries on departmental services.
5. Establishes a rapport with guests to maintain good customer relationships.
6. Monitors the requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
7. Provides specialist treatments for guests as required.
8. Monitors recruitment to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained.
9. Ensures sufficient staffing levels are maintained within agreed establishment and budgetary guidelines.
10. Ensures adequate learning is undertaken recorded and monitored.
11. Regular updates knowledge and skills in professional field.
12. Promotes a high level of performance and motivation amongst Spa staff and carries out regular performance appraisals.
