Scope of Work
- To develop and implement tactical plans to promote the Hotel and thereby support our sales efforts both room, F&B and outlets.
- To ensure that the Hotel- s product image is professionally reflected in all communications to the Hotel- s current and potential guests and the local community.
Job Responsibilities and Means
- Constantly seek to identify unmet customers and patrons needs and work towards developing new/improving current products and strategies to sustain our competitive advantage.
- Responsible for any opportunity to promote the Hotel to the public in a proper luxury image to the Accor Company Concept. Recruit staff in accordance with department needs via the job profile, and do reference checking.
Marketing Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with a diverse staff team to create and manage cross-organizational, integrated marketing strategies.
- Coordinate communications projects with vendors and contractors for the development and production of educational event promotional materials, web site production and other collateral.
- Provide writing and editing support for all communication including all promotional materials, website content, a monthly newsletter and the Association- s annual report.
- Assist in developing new revenue source.
- Serve as internal liaison to the meetings department and other staff resources.
- Review and edit existing promotional material for marketing effectiveness, cross-selling implications and adherence to bread guidelines.
- Develop presentations, collateral, positioning documents and sales tools to support both internal channels.
- Work with product management to integrate the product roadmap into a communication calendar and translate the new product value in terms of the overall company- s position within the market.
- To manage the organization- s advertising and print distribution.
- To represent the organization at conferences and events to promote membership and other services.
- Developing relationship and partnerships with outside agencies and organizations.
- To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested.
Public Relations Responsibilities
- To organize and manage photo shoots and press calls where required.
On-line Marketing Responsibilities
- Administer the company- s web-site including overall positioning, content and messaging.
- Manage and administer all online marketing activities including:
- E direct marketing
- Social networking
- Third party websites
- Reputation management
- Online initiatives
- Online campaign
- SEO/SEM
- PPC Management
- Performance based banners
Functional Responsibilities
- The Marketing & Communications Manager maintains contact, coordinates with all departments of the Hotel, and may have contact with other PR Mangers at a regional level.
Replacement and temporary Mission
- The Marketing & Communications Manager may be called upon to undertake activities outside his own area and to publicize Hotels other than his own for specific programs.
- To assist opening of/or general PR efforts of other hotels in the chain.
To be fully conversant with:
1. The Hotel and Company Fire Procedures, Health and Safety Policy and Security Procedures.
2. Short and long term company promotions.
3. The Accor values
4. The company dress code
5. The Hotels smoking policy
6. Hotel and Company philosophy
7. Rules and Management Policies
8. Hotel Objectives and Vision.
