B.Sc. in Sports Science or B.Sc. in Physical Education ACE certification (American Council on Exercise) in relevant courses is a plus First aid and CPR certification Lifeguard certification (optional)
Responsibilities
Ensure that all health club, outdoor activity and Chaan Baan activity components are present in guest facing areas such as the Spa, the Lobby.
Ensure accurate administration of guest training programs including guest profile, session logs, measurement tracking and exercise or activity programs.
Assist Director of Spa in giving guidelines, direction and monitoring for the development and effectiveness of programs, product knowledge and program assessment.
Conduct an appropriate fitness assessment for all the new health club members and proceed with a checkup assessment once a month.
Conduct an initial fitness assessment and a follow up assessment for guests who are on a relevant Life in Balance module.
Main high levels of quality of guest service, guest satisfaction and handling complaints, as necessary.
Coordinate health club services with outside instructors to guarantee a high level of service and adequate availability. Reconciles invoices from outside contractors.
Schedule staff and complete payroll records in accordance with budget and guidelines.
Work closely with the Engineering department to maintain proper water quality and mechanical operations of the plunge pool.
Order supplies, including bathing suits, toiletries and other amenities to ensure the Tennis & Health Club maintains the required PAR levels for smooth operation.
Maintain the Health Club, Chaan Baan and tennis courts as a safe environment and in accordance with all health department regulations.
Oversee cleanliness of the Health Club, Chaan Baan area and tennis courts and coordinates with Housekeeping when a deep cleaning is required.
Interview, train, schedule, monitor employee performance, discipline and complete payroll for all personnel who report to him/her.
Able to convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale.
Able to fulfill duties and responsibilities or projects as assigned by management.
Respond properly in any Resort emergency or safety situation.
Adhere to all department policies and procedures.
