GENERAL MISSION
? Full responsibility is for the planning, managing, controlling, co-ordination and participation in all aspects of team training of the hotel, to ensure that the service provided to our customers is exemplary and that the team has sufficient self confidence to carry out his job efficiently.
? Training Manager is further responsible that there is clear communication to all team about training systems and policies & procedures in the hotel according to management's requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS
? Manage the training section of the HR Division according to all company?s Policy & Procedures
? Liaise with EXCOM and HODs, plan and develops a suitable program of activities for newly joined team to ensure that they are familiar with their new environment, know their hotel?s facilities and products and what is expected of them in their daily job.
? Develop a training system and program where each individual team has a specific program of training geared to his/her particular job that undertaken within the year and which can be monitored effectively in order to be linked to an achievement of the service and operation.
? On a monthly basis provide information to EXCOM and HODs on progress of the team?s training and if corrective action may be required.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
? Maintains and updates team training records, legal documents, policies and procedures and other training related matters
? Assist Director of Human Resources in establishing training department budget
? Monitors the team performance
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
? TNA: Coordinate with all departments to identify Training Needs (from Training Needs Analysis) and support EXCOM and HODs to complete the training grid
? Create annual training plan and manage efficiently all kinds of training according to the annual plan
? Assist Director of Human Resources in preparing, implementing and assessing the service standards for each department and give a consultation to EXCOM and HODs in order to ensure the service standards are met
? Create and conduct compulsory training for all team as per hotel policy. The training program may has to be adjusted regularly to allow for changes
? Create hotel training record system (by department and individual)
? Has a full understanding of the hotel training related software and its full capabilities for proper and accurate record keeping.
? Analyze the on- going requirement of training from observing the team?s performance and inter-acting with EXCOM and HODs.
? Establishing hotel orientation (induction kit and program), training, developing and evaluating systems
? Create monthly Training Activity Calendar approved by Director of Human Resources
? Prepare and initiate training material ? Handout, Presentation, Advertisement, Registration form and Evaluation form for all internal courses in line with monthly training activity
? Promote and follow up the participants with concern department for every training activities
? Collect and submit training evaluation results to all concerned departments
? Establish and ensure the sufficient numbers of the qualified Departmental Trainers are available in every department
? Co-facilitate with EXCOM and HODs and Departmental Trainers in training sessions to ensure the regular training plans are implemented and followed in all departments
? Co-ordinate with Training Development Manager-Asia-for arranging Corporate Training as required by Accor
? Outside trainers: contact outside training institutes or trainers for conducting training in the hotel
? Cross exposure: create and implement policy for both internal and external cross exposure
? External training: prepare all required documents for participants for external training courses and follow up on returning of external evaluation completed form
? Report: prepare monthly training reports (both internal and as per legal requirement) and comprehensive records of all training activities and maintain efficient administration within the department and ensure the punctuality of the operational training reports submitted to Director of Human Resources on monthly basis
? Trainees: take care of both local and management trainees
? Notice board: ensure that training notice boards are creative, attractive and up to date
? Take care of Learning and Relaxing room and create educational atmosphere to all teams and visitors.
? Supervise the team to ensure the high quality and good maintenance of Human Resources facilities which are Team restaurant, Team locker rooms and Learning & Relaxing room
COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
? Monitors that the actual expenses incurred in Training meet with the approved Training budget.
HUMAN RESPONSIBILITIES
? Counsel hotel personnel as needed in the area of career planning, job transfer, team relations and any other training related matters
? Implement an effective team relations and motivation program in the hotel
? Coordinate and support team social, athletic and recreational activities
? Develops and implements programs to ensure team security and safety
? Responsible for ensuring a good team spirit and motivation of the team
RELATIONS
? Reports to the Director of Human Resources
? Interacts with individuals outside the hotel including but not limited to, universities, colleges, hotel schools, government officials and members of the local community link with training and development.
? Coordinates functions and activities with other departments.
? In his/ her own conduct and appearance and of the team of the training team, ensure that good example is set for all hotel team to follow and those teams perceive the whole subject of ?Training? as a highly visible and assertive function of management.
? Ensure that all EXCOM and HODs of the hotel are as motivated by the importance of training as the Training Manager is and that full co-operation is given.
? Is close to the team and make them available to counsel team where required and offer sensible advice.
? Brings to the attention of his/ her problems, which may need senior management action.
REPLACEMENT AND TEMPORARY MISSION
? Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by superiors
? In the absence of the Director of Human Resources, take charge of the department under the supervision of the General Manager
