o Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
o A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all colleagues.
o Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
o Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
o Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
o Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
o Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
o Able to work in a busy restaurant environment.
o Restaurant experience a plus.
o New graduates are welcome.
o Welcomes guests and assists in seating procedures.
o Knows table/seat numbering, takes orders and uses Micros system to input orders.
o Knows the food menu/special promotions including preparation times, cooking methods, main ingredient and side dishes for the outlet assigned.
o Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships and actively promotes repeat business.
o Ensures all guest requests and complaints are handled appropriately adhering to the hotel?s general guidelines for service recovery.
o Ensures all opening and closing duties are implemented in accordance with established standards.
o Checks daily mise-en-place, cleanliness and set-up before service.
o Administers requisitions: food store, beverage store etc.
o Handles all telephone calls courteously and efficiently.
o Ensures charge-to-room checks are signed and the name matches with the room number.
o Ensures the validity of all credit cards.
o Processes all Officer?s Check, Entertainment Check and City Ledger charges in accordance with established policies & procedures.
o Properly records all sales of food and beverages.
