- Developing and implementing credit policies and procedures that align with the organization's objectives and risk tolerance. This includes establishing guidelines for assessing creditworthiness, setting credit limits, and managing credit terms.
- Conducting credit analysis on new and existing customers to assess their creditworthiness and ability to repay debts.
- Identifying and assessing credit risks associated with customers and credit exposures. Implementing strategies to mitigate risks, such as requiring collateral, setting reserves, and monitoring credit limits.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers to facilitate credit transactions.
- Reviewing and approving credit applications and requests within established authority limits.
- Monitoring customer accounts for payment delinquencies and taking appropriate actions to collect overdue balances.
- Generating credit reports and analysis to track key credit metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
- Managing the overall credit portfolio to achieve targeted objectives for credit quality, profitability, and liquidity.
- Collaborating with sales, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment of credit policies and procedures with overall business objectives.
