Educational Background: Bachelor?s degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum 5?7 years of engineering/maintenance management experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2?3 years in a leadership role.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of hotel building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and energy management.
Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead a team, manage contractors, and coordinate with other hotel departments effectively.
Problem-Solving & Compliance: Skilled in troubleshooting, project management, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and local regulatory standards.
Oversee Engineering Operations: Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance functions to ensure the hotel?s facilities, equipment, and systems are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules while ensuring prompt resolution of engineering issues to minimize downtime and guest impact.
Team Leadership & Training: Supervise, train, and motivate the engineering team to maintain high standards of performance, safety, and service.
Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure all engineering practices comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
Budget & Resource Management: Prepare and control the engineering budget, monitor energy consumption, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
