OPERATIONAL:
1. To check and set up the daily operations and supplies of the fitness areas and male and female changing areas according to Six Senses Spas standards.
2. To assist other fitness instructors and guest services assistants to ensure that they can perform their services professionally and accurately in a timely manner.
3. To greet the guest upon entering and leaving the fitness areas.
4. To serve water and towel to the gym guest- s upon arrival to the fitness area.
5. To guide the guest from the changing/ relaxation area to the fitness area and to explain them the general procedures as per the Six Senses Spas manual.
6. To provide service promptly, courteously and accurately.
7. To enforce all fitness facility policies, rules and regulations.
8. To request and collect stock and supplies in accordance with minimum stock levels (for towels, linen, food & beverage, and other minor operating supplies).
9. To ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the section and work unit for the Spa, fitness area and changing area.
10. To assist junior fitness instructors and guest services assistants to ensure that they can perform their services professionally and accurately in a timely manner.
11. To ensure all equipment is well maintained and in safe condition in accordance with the standards laid out in the Six Senses Spas manual.
12. To exercise regularly to maintain fitness level.
13. To answer telephone calls and give accurate details regarding fitness inquiries.
14. To maintaining the cleanliness of cardio machines after every guest- s used.
15. To explain and enforce safety rules and regulations governing sports, recreational activities, and the use of exercise equipment.
16. To offer alternatives during classes to accommodate different levels of fitness.
17. To plan routines, choose appropriate music, and choose different movements for each set of muscles, depending on participants- capabilities and limitations.
18. To observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement.
19. To teach proper breathing techniques used during physical exertion.
20. To instruct participants in maintaining exertion levels in order to maximize benefits from exercise routines.
21. To teach and demonstrate use of gymnastic and training equipment.
22. To conduct therapeutic, recreational or athletic activities.
23. To monitor participants- progress and adapt programs as needed.
24. To evaluate individuals- abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs to meet any special requirements.
25. To plan physical education programs to promote development of participants- physical attributes and social skills.
26. To provide guests with information and resources regarding nutrition, weight control and lifestyle issues
27. To administer emergency first aid, wrap injuries, treat minor chronic disabilities, or refer injured persons to physicians.
28. To advise clients about proper clothing and shoes.
29. To teach individual and team class to guests through instruction and demonstration, utilizing knowledge of sports techniques and of participants' physical capabilities.
30. To promote health clubs through membership sales, and record member information.
YOGA THERAPY:
31. To teach their students about the various yogic positions and start them off with some basic steps.
32. To teach students proper breathing techniques as they are most important aspect of yoga
33. To take into account the health problems of the students and teach them accordingly.
TRAINING:
34. To participate in training as required.
35. To assist in the training of hosts within the department, ensuring that the standards and methods of service are maintained as per Six Senses Spas manual.
GENERAL:
36. To check and follow up on the repair and maintenance of the outlets.
37. To maintain equipment inventories; and select, store, and issue equipment as needed.
38. To inform fitness manager or guest services manager of any guest complaints.
39. To contribute to the morale and team spirit of the Spa by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues.
40. To be polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of Six Senses Spas is represented.
41. To attend meetings and training as required by managers.
42. To ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of local law.
43. To interact with guests actively soliciting feedback.
44. To ensure high standards of cleanliness in the Spa, fitness area or section.
45. To establish good guest relations and rapport with all spa hosts and guests at all times.
46. To carry out tours of the gym and to sell memberships.
47. To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name at all times.
48. To report any breakage or mal function of any items at the spa and follow up on the repair and maintenance.
49. To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
50. To provide high standards of cleanliness in the spa.
51. To report for duty punctually.
52. To be well groomed and presentable at all times and according to the Six Senses Spas grooming standards.
53. To participate in the building of an efficient spa team.
54. To keep a professional working manner at all times.
55. To submit positive and constructive NIBIs.
56. To show enthusiasm and motivation at all times.
57. To demonstrate and live by the Six Senses Spas Core Values
58. To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Spa Host rules and regulations.
59. To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Spa policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
60. To assist other teams (receptionists, butlers, therapists) when required to complete the tasks assigned.
61. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
