- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.
- 5 years of progressive hotel/resort experience in full-service properties in excess of 400 rooms.
- Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Bi-lingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and support staff is needed.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group situations to guests, clients, and other associates and corporate executives of the hotel a must.
- Knowledge of hotel/resort operations such as rooms management, housekeeping, laundry, fitness, spa, maintenance, operations management.
- Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
- Must be able to frequently communicate and develop rapport with guests and associates and have a working relationship with the hotel management team.
- Ability to work with numbers, manage various spreadsheets and budgets for different departments, and make important fiscal decisions is required.
- Ability to resolve disputes with guests and associates is required.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Extensive knowledge of Opera PMS
- Oversee a team of Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Spa, Fitness members to ensure smooth operations are completed to the Hotel?s operational standards.
- Convey the hotel's image and atmosphere through his/her exemplary attitude, warm and friendly welcome, availability and frequent presence in the field.
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and to the highest satisfaction levels.
- Manage room revenue and profit through maximizing occupancy and yield, and to ensure set budgets and goals are achieved.
- Responsible for preparing the Rooms Division budget and maintaining cost control of the operation.
- Act as the General Manager in absence.
- Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
