Education:
A hospitality diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum 2 years experience in the similar role
Additional Skill Required:
Have a strong working knowledge of Wine
A certified Sommelier qualification from a reputed institute is an added asset.
1. Up selling of all hotel facilities.
2. Promote cross-training of service personnel within Decanter and other Food and Beverage Restaurants in the Hotel.
3. Control of manpower through forward planning.
4. Training service personnel in correct care and storage of all equipment.
5. Promote stock control as a means of minimizing costs, and training in wastage minimization.
6. Facilitate repeat business through guest satisfaction.
7. Maintain and control all Restaurant expenses and ensure they are within budget guidelines.
8. Implement effective associate rostering.
9. Maximize Associate productivity through enhanced skills, knowledge and direction.
10. Pursue every opportunity to up-sell.
