Duty Manager
Responsibilities:
? Reports directly to and communicates with the General Manager on all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations.
? Provides functional assistance and direction to all departments.
? Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with other hotel departments as required.
? Reacts to situations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel.
? Responds to guest needs and resolves related problems maintaining record for management.
? Supervises and directs Reception personnel.
? Supports and assists Front Office personnel and all departments at peak periods.
? Inspects front of house and back of house, lobby, front entrance and rooms regularly for cleanliness and maintains record through Inspection reports.
? Monitors appropriate standards of conduct, uniform, hygiene and appearance of employee.
? Provides input for Front Office meetings.
? Checks billing instructions and monitors guest credit daily and checks report.
? Analyses the rate potential revenue report to ensure room revenue is controlled.
? Takes action with the Property Management System (PMS) in emergency situations.
? Fully conversant with all hotel emergency procedures.
? Assists guest in resolving any difficulties with the Safety Box in the room.
? Ensures the master key record is maintained and all keys signed in and out without exception.
