Helps kitchen staff to prepare raw food for cooking. Cleans work areas, equipment and kitchens
- Relieves Cook of routine tasks; prepares raw food for cooking.
- Carries used or soiled cooking utensils to stewarding and returns clean one for use in respective kitchens.
- Obtains and arranges utensils and supplies on the instructions of superiors. Lights stoves and ranges if necessary.
- Cleans and maintains work area, equipment, cold rooms and refrigerators.
- Transports food stuffs by hand or by hand truck between kitchen and other points in the hotel, or between points in the kitchen.
- Transfers raw and cooked food from store room to preparation areas and distributes to kitchen concerned.
- Learns proper use basic equipment, utensils and materials used in the respective kitchens.
- 8 day off per month
