- University or high school preferable.
- Knowledge of R/S service procedures & order taking.
- Knowledge about Room Service
- Smart, good looking, well groomed and healthy
- Very good command of English.
- Very familiar with all hotel facilities, able to give all information
? Responsible for taking orders by telephone and is able to up-sell at every opportunity available.
? Maintains the cleanliness and tidiness of the Order taker room
? Performs duties common to room service waiters and other duties as may be assigned.
? Maintains filing of all documents, up-keeping of all paper work.
? Possesses excellent telephone etiquette as established in the standard operating manual.
? Possesses thorough knowledge of food and beverage available in the menu and in other specialized outlets.
? Familiar with menu and method of preparation and accompaniments
? Exercises patience in taking orders and assists in recommending and up-selling food and beverage items.
? clearly write the orders and ensure that the order has passed to captain incharge with full detailsimmediately.
? Repeats all orders received from guests as well as the room number.
? Responsible for preparation of guest checks and reconciliation of all checks from waiters and process them in line with Accounting procedures.
? Responsible for collecting all money from waiters on any check and making changes if needed.
? Secures guests names from the front office, address all guest by name in a polite manner
? Knowledgeable in all hotel facilities, especially of other outlets during non operation hours
