Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration or related field.
- More than 5 years- experience in a Human Resources leadership capacity within a hotel operation.
- Previous experience with benefit administration and employee wellness and safety initiatives.
- Proven organizational skills, works well on own initiative and as a team, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-confident and able to communicate easily with all levels of an organization from line colleagues to Executives.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and customer contact skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work well in stressful & high-pressure situations.

POSITION PURPOSE
Director of Human Resources is a team builder and supports all leaders and colleagues within the hotel, ensuring company policies service standards are followed, colleague engagement is high and financial goals are met.
The Director of Human Resources will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, initiatives, activities, and staff of the Human Resources department, ensuring legal and labor compliance and implementation of the mission and talent strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and execute the recruitment plan and implement The Salil Hotel Riverside recruitment practices.
- Coordinate mass recruitment and campus recruitment. Recruit and hire in keeping with established manning guide.
- Manage the HR pre-opening budget and HR Critical Path.
- In conjunction with the corporate office to establish a benefits scheme to be competitive within the hotel industry in the local market.
- Train HR team and coordinate and implement employee training programs throughout all divisions, such as orientation and leadership training
- Implement The Salil Hotel Riverside core Colleague programs.
- Coordinate OS&E and set up colleague facilities, such as colleague dining facility, locker rooms, and resting areas.
- Process visa applications for expatriate staff, if applicable.
- Implement HR standards, policies & procedures and the employee handbook.
- Actively participate in the strategic planning and ongoing development of the hotel, ensuring the delivery of our environmental commitments, overseeing the health, safety and security of our guests and colleagues.
- Lead and support all departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets via effective organizational development, policy and procedural development, and appropriate colleague training activities.
- Clearly demonstrate to guests and colleagues a commitment to service excellence through the effective implementation and delivery of The Salil Hotel Riverside Core Standards at all times.
- Foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging colleagues to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests.
- Assess organizational needs, develop aligned HR solutions, and implement strategies in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition, HR administration, health and safety and colleague wellness.
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of the HR office, focusing on maximizing the capabilities of the team by reviewing the coordination of initiatives and activities and providing regular coaching and performance development opportunities.
