Scope of Work
The IT is in charge of the overall IT functions including IT Development strategies of the company to maximize the technology capability and productivity.

HOTEL EDP/IT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL MISSION
- To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the IT department and to deliver a prompt and efficient service to all departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS
- To ensure that the hotel- s computer system both hardware and software is fully accounted for, properly maintained, and reliable
- To draw procedures to ensure that any problems encountered in software and hardware are addressed immediately
- To ensure the physical and logical security of the IT system
- To define and keep updated written incident management policies and procedures where action to be taken, persons to be contacted in case of the incident are clearly mentioned

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To attend to any problems encountered in software and hardware by all departments in the most diligent manner and keep track of such incidents and the way they have been solved.
- To perform routine system setups as may be required by software and/or programs such as regular updates of anti-virus programs
- To strictly perform daily/monthly backup procedures, ensure the successful completion of the process, and safeguard the backup tapes.
- To assist any departments of the hotel in formulating their IT material requirements and provide adequate solutions to their needs
- To provide regular training on IT security and ensure that all PMS access passwords are regularly updated automatically, standby mode on servers and PMS activated and IT procedures strictly followed by all employees.
- To perform regular computer audits in the search of unauthorized programs, improper setup, or loopholes in the security setup.

COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To develop good relationships with IT providers

RELATIONS
- Directly reports to Director of Engineering
- To work closely with many departments of the hotel.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

4. ACCOR REGIONAL IT MANAGER - ROLE DESCRIPTION
ACCOR, as an organization, has rolled out and will continue to, some exciting developments from an Information Technology perspective, and the local IT team will be the driving force for these changes in the Asian region.
The role of the Regional IT Manager is not to provide an IT - guru- . Whilst they are more than capable of assisting with any IT-related issues you may have, it is imperative that all properties take ownership of specific issues.
The Regional IT Managers will provide advice on the best way to achieve a successful resolution.

- Vendor stopgap i.e.: The Regional IT Manager is the last stop for disputes with Vendors. They have an escalation process available to them within all vendors not available at the hotel level.
- Support Contract negotiation, and deployment.
- Telephone advice/consultancy to General Managers and Dept Heads.
- Provide training to the hotel IT contact so they can meet hotel IT requirements.
