REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree preferred with minimum of 7 year's experience in the housekeeping or related professional area.
- 5-star hotel experience with demonstrated skills in supervising a team.
- Hotel industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
- Experience managing to brand standards.
- Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for the daily shift operations of Housekeeping department. Directs and works with employees to ensure property guestrooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained. Directs and works with team to successfully execute all housekeeping operations. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department. Ensures that standards and procedures are being followed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. Post caution signs. Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs. Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested. Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash placed near Housekeeper carts. Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
- Ensures guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner and works effectively with the Engineering department on guestroom maintenance needs.
- Assists in the ordering of guestroom supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms.
- Supports and supervises an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space.
- Understands the impact of department's operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
