คุณสมบัติผู้สมัคร

- Thai nationality
- Bachelor?s degree in any fields, preferably Thai culinary-related.
- Formal training/certificate in Thai culinary or related field.
- At least one year teaching experience and/or at least 3 years working experience as Thai cuisine chef.
- Good command of Thai and English.
- Computer literate and comfortable with integrating technology into teaching and learning such as using LMS, Microsoft Team, and etc.
- Flexibility, since hours for an instructor may vary and include weekends, evenings and holidays

รายละเอียดงาน

- Conduct Thai cuisine classes (online/offline/hybrid) as required by the school.
Teach in collaboration with Dusit Thani College under the supervision of TFS Academic Director and Technical Director.
- Choose an appropriate textbook under the supervision of Dusit Thani College, re-evaluate own record book, and evaluate course syllabus, lesson plans, handouts, methodology, examination papers, etc., and make recommendations to immediate supervisor.
- Prepare complete course syllabus, lesson plan, course manual, teaching aids, and materials, etc.
Prepare lectures, teach course, and begin class on time in an orderly and organized fashion.
Supervise teacher assistant and coordinate with Education Department and Purchasing Department to ensure the ingredients are prepared properly before each class.
- Encourage the development of innovative approaches to course design and delivery and ensure that teaching design and delivery comply with the quality and educational standards and regulations of the school.
- Development and maintenance of LMS learning content (recipe videos, recipe and technic description, assignments, quiz, and etc.)
Use LMS in teaching and learning management such as maintaining students attendance record, communicating with students and initiating discussion with students, posting the course announcement, and etc.
- Participate in ingredient procurement, research of equivalent local produce for recipe ingredient (as much as possible) / Work with Cost Control and Purchasing on a reasonable Food Cost plan.
- Relate professional / life / industry experience to learning through professional / technical skills development, introduction of industry perspective into courses, and active awareness of professional/industry trends and opportunities
Assures that classes are conducted in a manner that complies with principles of food safety and sanitation as per HACCP guidelines
- Maintain clean cooking labs & classrooms organization.
- Be courteous to and approachable by students and give students counseling service and conduct tutorial sessions.
- Use effective motivation to help stimulate a personal desire to learn the subject/skill(s)
Prepare course assignments, tests, projects to improve student?s academic performance.
- Set examination papers to ensure that:
- Questions asked are fair and in accordance with the subject taught.
- The pro-forma answers are correct and in accordance with the courses taught.
- The practical exam reflects the comprehensive understanding of the subject taught.
- The marking scheme is fair and consistent with the general marking scheme of The Food School and Dusit Thani College.
- Submit examination scores and grade within the approved schedule set by Education Department.
Be knowledgeable about and ensure to abide by School?s policies, procedures guidelines for all instructions activities and examinations, including accurate and timely submission of all reports, grades and paperwork.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methods.
- Review and recommend new teaching materials, aids, textbooks, etc.
- Attend regular meetings with Education Department to discuss the courses and students? progress, problem areas in class, operations of facilities, etc
- Provide technical assistance to Education Department on the development of curriculum and teaching methodology.
- Advise Academic Director/Technical Director of the strength/weakness of students (if any) being in charge with regard to their abilities to learn certain courses/subjects
