Best Western Chatuchak (190+ rooms), Bangkok is currently looking for the following position:
DUTY MANAGER
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to and communicates with the General Manager on all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations.
- Provides functional assistance and direction to all departments.
- Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with other hotel departments as required.
- Reacts to situations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel.
- Responds to guest needs and resolves related problems maintaining record for management.
- Supervises and directs Reception personnel.
- Supports and assists Front Office personnel and all departments at peak periods.
- Inspects front of house and back of house, lobby, front entrance and rooms regularly for cleanliness and maintains record through Inspection reports.
- Monitors appropriate standards of conduct, uniform, hygiene and appearance of employee.
- Provides input for Front Office meetings.
- Checks billing instructions and monitors guest credit daily and checks report.
- Analyses the rate potential revenue report to ensure room revenue is controlled.
- Takes action with the Property Management System (PMS) in emergency situations.
- Fully conversant with all hotel emergency procedures.
- Assists guest in resolving any difficulties with the Safety Box in the room.
- Ensures the master key record is maintained and all keys signed in and out without exception.
