Chief Accountant (Restaurant)

? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
? Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or a similar role, with a focus on food and beverage accounting, cost control, and multi-outlet management.
? Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, cost control strategies, and internal controls.
? Experience in managing the financial operations of multiple outlets in different locations.
? Familiarity with accounting software and systems, preferably experience with food and beverage-specific financial management systems.
? Proficient in using spreadsheets and financial analysis tools to analyze and interpret financial data.
? Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
? Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
? Command of the English language, able to work in a multicultural environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Oversee all financial activities related to the food and beverage operations of Patiala Peg and future outlets, including cost control measures and multi-outlet management.
? Develop and implement effective cost control strategies, analyzing and monitoring expenses, inventory, and purchasing practices to optimize profitability across all outlets.
? Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and general ledger entries.
? Develop and maintain comprehensive accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for the food and beverage operations.
? Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and provide regular reports on the financial performance of each outlet.
? Conduct regular financial audits to verify compliance with established procedures, identify areas for improvement, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
? Collaborate with the management team to set budgetary goals, provide financial insights, and track performance against targets for each outlet.
? Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
? Manage the financial aspects of new outlet openings, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
? Provide guidance and support to the finance team, ensuring proper training and development to maintain a high level of financial expertise.
? Foster effective communication and collaboration with other departments, such as operations and procurement, to streamline financial processes and optimize cost management.
? Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to food and beverage accounting and cost control.
