Steward

- High school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
- Prior experience in a similar role, such as kitchen stewarding can be advantageous.
- Experience in food handling, dishwashing, or cleaning services is often preferred.
- Stewarding roles can be physically demanding, requiring standing for long periods, lifting and carrying heavy objects, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail is essential for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and on time.

- Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashers or by hand.
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized.
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, including countertops, stoves, and storage areas.
- Cleaning dining areas, including tables, chairs, and floors.
- Managing garbage and recycling disposal.
- Sorting and disposing of waste according to hotel policies and environmental guidelines.
- Ensuring proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.
- Properly storing and organizing cleaning materials and equipment.
- Working closely with other hotel staff, including housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance teams.
- Following proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Understanding and following hotel policies and procedures.
