Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree and above in Business Administration / Marketing
Experience:
At least 8 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
Competencies:
1. Managerial Knowledge in the Hospitality Industry.
2. Excellent spoken and written English.
3. Well versed in use of computers such as PowerPoint and Excel.
4. Confident, Good organizational & people development sales, Outgoing personality and people-oriented.
The DOS is responsible for leading and driving the sales team to achieve sales targets, meeting the objectives of rates and yield optimization of a property or a cluster of properties and managing the entire sales process to maintain and increase the existing client base.
Strategy, Partnership & Business Development
1. To assist Country General Manager with market studies on potential business development in Singapore.
2. Define and set up the multi-segment and multi- channel sales strategy in their region in accordance with the sales policy in order to meet budgeted revenue targets
3. Responsible for observing economic business level fluctuations; tourism trends; environmental issues; political and social trends.
4. Assess local consumer trends and suggest the necessary changes to relevant initiatives.
5. Defines and sets up local partnerships with institutions and companies.
6. Source new business channels.
Sales Strategy Planning & Execution
7. Implement sales strategy and understand account tactics to achieve these strategies.
8. Anticipates and projects sales forecasts and monitor market trends.
9. Report as required on sales activities and successes.
10. Optimize RFP success ratio for the benefit of the business.
11. Conduct familiarizations and site inspections
12. Take active part in determining room rate pricing strategy with Residence Managers and Revenue Manager if appropriate, after analyzing and assessing the different components of the market
13. Plans and implements marketing strategies/calendar for the effective marketing of the cluster with optimum use of the marketing resources to ensure maximum results with minimum wastage.
14. Plans and controls budgetary activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
15. Maintain a regular interactions with key stakeholders and clients
16. Entertain prospects and existing key accounts with the view to sustain business and generate further sales;
17. Utilise SAGE for reporting purposes and networking client information for TAL.
People Management
18. Set clear goals and directions for the team and empower them to achieve the business results.
19. Motivate, supervise and appraise staff?s performance in the sales and marketing department.
20. Provide guidelines and training to staff in the execution of their duties within the Department.
21. Engage the team, by energizing the team to work together on a common goal.
