Main responsibilities include:
Provides guests with assistance at the front desk during the check-in and check-out processes and throughout
their stay:
- Always greet guests in a friendly and professional manner according to the standards
- Engage each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests
- Perform accurate and efficient check-ins and check-outs of guests daily
- Answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner
- Make reservations over the phone and in person during the reservation department is not available
- Effectively check reservations daily for accuracy and identify any special requests - today- s
- Arrival and the next three days
- Liaising with housekeeping and any other concerning department to ensure information is passed on for room requests and special requests
- Responsible for a cash float throughout your shift and ensuring it balances correctly at the end of shift
- Anticipate and address guest- s needs and act instantly to deliver solutions their issue in an appropriate method
- Anticipate and address guest- s needs and act instantly to deliver solutions
- Listen to guest- s comments, complaints or concerns and consult the case with supervisor to resolve their issue in an appropriate method
- Promote a clean, tidy and safe working environment
- Learn and adhere to all fire and emergency procedures, including procedures for handling of the fire panel, ensuring guest safety and participate in an evacuation if necessary
- Comply with the Hotel Policies and Procedures
- Performs any additional tasks which are assigned by supervisor
- Uniform and personal appearance are kept clean and professional and are in accordance with the Grooming Policy
- Performs any additional tasks which are assigned by supervisorMaximise revenue by promoting hotel services and adhering to credit and inventory control processes:
- Offer guests updates to rooms and promotes hotel amenities, food and beverage outlets and services.
- Process customer credit at check-in in accordance with hotel policy.
- Identify and records special billing instruction and notifies Accounting.
- Follow hotel policy on cash banks - at all times adheres to credit limits and procedures as set down by the Financial Controller.
- Obtain appropriate approvals and signatures. Maximise revenue by promoting hotel services and adhering to credit and inventory control processes:
- Offer guests updates to rooms and promotes hotel amenities, food and beverage outlets and services.
- Process customer credit at check-in in accordance with hotel policy.
- Identify and records special billing instruction and notifies Accounting.
- Follow hotel policy on cash banks - at all times adheres to credit limits and procedures as set down by the Financial Controller.
- Obtain appropriate approvals and signatures.
