? Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior cook in a professional kitchen, preferably in a similar cuisine style.
? Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
? Strong knowledge of savoury cooking techniques, plating, and kitchen operations.
? Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
? Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
? Creativity and a passion for food quality and presentation.
? Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
? Physical stamina to work long hours, often standing for extended periods.
? Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all savoury dishes according to the restaurant?s standards and recipes.
? Supervise, coach, and mentor Chefs de Partie, Commis Chefs, and other kitchen staff within the savoury section.
? Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal updates.
? Ensure consistent quality, portion control, and timely delivery of dishes during service.
? Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety at all times.
? Monitor stock levels, order ingredients when necessary, and manage inventory efficiently.
? Support the Head Chef in scheduling, kitchen organization, and workflow management.
? Troubleshoot kitchen issues and resolve operational challenges during service.
? Train kitchen staff on cooking techniques, standards, and safety procedures.
? Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards.
