Education and Experience Required:
? 4 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
OR
? 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
Preferred:
? 4 years of experience selling group business experience ( Corporate, Government and Domestic Travel Agents in Southern areas ), either at a property or in a sales office.
? 4 year college degree.
? Knowledge of property operations, Food and Beverage (F&B).
? Knowledge of the group sales process for all brands and how to close a sale.
? Team-based selling experience.
? Able to travel 14 provinces in Southern areas
? Hospitality Management Degree.
1. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hotel services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business for individual property
2. Preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hotel systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate.
3. Works as a team member with the sales and catering staff and is in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff. Solicits, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business. This role may take on leadership functions and assist Director of Sales & Marketing with projects
4. Generate conference business from a local corporate, government and domestic travel agents market , maximization of sales, development of potential markets and sound administration of assigned responsibilities through sensible delegation and personal attention to detail.
5. Maintain sales awareness throughout the local market
6. Consistently monitor results to goals
7. Ensure customer satisfaction
8. Monitor competition
9. Build shoulder season group business
10. Assist in development of customer sales programs, packages, etc.
11. Assist in development of budgets, projections, and implementation plans for each market segment
