1. Supplies enough mise en place and ensures the smooth operation.
2. Assists Chef de Partie to run his section efficiently.
3. Delegates work to his subordinates in order to run uninterrupted.
4. Checks preparation and work done to ensure quality.
5. Ensures that his orders are carried out to hotel standards.
6. Checks fridges and areas thoroughly to avoid spoilage.
7. Performs any other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
8. Coordinates daily tasks with Chef de Partie when required.
9. Follows the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks.
10. Ensures the overall cleanliness, health and safety aspects of hygiene standard in the kitchen are maintained at all times.
11. Participates foods preparation in accordance and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques provided by Chef de Partie in charge.
