Qualifications & Requirements
-Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-Minimum 5?7 years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in a cluster or multi-property role.
-Strong background in hotel finance operations, preferably with pre-opening exposure.
-Experience in procurement and vendor negotiation for OS&E/FF&E.
-Solid knowledge of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry).
-Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
-Excellent communication and leadership skills.
-Willingness to travel frequently to properties under management.
Position Overview
The Cluster Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of multiple hotels under PCL Hospitality, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and statutory requirements. This role provides financial leadership, supports property General Managers, and consolidates financial performance for the Corporate Finance Director.
In addition, the Cluster Finance Manager plays a key role in procurement management for new hotel projects during the pre-opening phase, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier compliance, and timely delivery of goods and services to support operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
-Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for assigned hotels.
-Consolidate financial statements and prepare variance analysis for the Corporate Finance Director.
-Ensure adherence to PCL Hospitality financial policies, local laws, and tax regulations.
-Provide financial insights to Hotel Managers and Corporate Office to support strategic decision-making.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
-Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process for cluster hotels.
-Prepare rolling forecasts and financial projections.
-Support Hotel Managers in aligning departmental budgets with business objectives.
3. P&L Analysis & Cost Control
-Review Profit & Loss statements for each property, identifying risks and opportunities.
-Monitor cost structures and implement initiatives to optimize profitability.
-Ensure labor, operating, and procurement costs are controlled within budgetary limits.
4. Procurement for Pre-Opening Hotels
-Manage procurement planning for new properties during the pre-opening phase.
-Develop vendor lists, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive pricing for OS&E and supplies.
-Coordinate with Corporate Engineering, Operations, and Project teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
-Implement and monitor procurement policies to ensure transparency and compliance.
5. Internal Controls & Compliance
-Establish and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
-Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with finance and procurement policies.
-Monitor inventory control, accounts receivable, and payable cycles.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
-Act as the link between hotel Finance Managers/Accountants and the Corporate Finance Director.
-Partner with Operations, Engineering, HR, and Procurement teams to support both operational and pre-opening requirements.
-Provide training and guidance to hotel finance teams to build financial capabilities.
