BASIC FUNCTIONS
Assists with management and operation of housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure maximum profitability and service quality.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1.Assists as directed in preparing accurate and aggressive long- and short-range financial objectives for the Housekeeping and Laundry and related departments consistent with the hotel's objectives.
2.Assists Executive Housekeeper in directing the activities of the Housekeeping / Laundry department and furnishes daily cleaning service to guest rooms and all other areas of the hotel.
3.Communicates all maintenance and repair needs to appropriate individuals.
4.Distributes daily workload of room attendant.
5.Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
6.Maintains new techniques and products to maximize the profitable operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department.
7.Is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, neatness, and good repair of all hotel areas.
8.Performs detailed inspection of all guest rooms (vacant, check-outs, and occupied alike), instructs on necessary corrections.
9.Is responsible for the direction and inspection of model room setups, meeting room setups and service, and special promotional setups such as cocktail parties.
10.Provides guest room status reports to Front Desk, Housekeeper, and General Manager.
11.Advises Front Desk by telephone of all vacant and ready rooms as they become available.
12.Assists in the training and motivation of the housekeeping employee
