? To plan and select suppliers taking into account various factors such as corporate policy, quality approval, level of service and pricing to meet statutory, legal and internal requirements.
? To consider business needs, seasonal trends, external & internal factors while planning.
? To be fully accountable for the quality of all items purchased
? To assist in the development of the hotel?s Business plan and to produce a Action Plans
? Monitor all plans, forecasts and targets and submit adjustments for approval as required.
? To conduct regular surveys in order to evaluate the price and quality fluctuations in the market
? To collect sample and quotations from local market
? To forecast demands based on occupancy
? To monitor factors which are likely to affect budgets and implement procedures to reduce cost/ expenditure
? Plan ordering of stock items according to the established minimum/ maximum and reorder levels in liaison stores
? To organize a smooth delivery of items
? To ensure that all deliveries are monitor eg. Perishable items & Frozen & Canned
