? Diploma or Bachelor degree in Hotel Management or Culinary.
? A minimum of 5 years previous experience as a Sous Chef in a five-star hotel or restaurant with a focus on Thai, Indo-Chine, or Japanese Cuisine
? Possess good English communication skills.
? Passionate, committed, creative, flexible and a team player with high energy level
? Ability to perform duties under pressure.
? Computer literate and HACCP knowledge
Responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and kitchen staff. Assist Head Chef in creating and maintaining all menus and recipes used in the restaurant, and for the preparation, presentation, and service of these menu items. Work with Head Chef in setting the direction of the business in day-to-day operations as well as a plan to grow the business, drive sales and manage costs.
Job Duties
? Support senior leadership by developing and assuming key management responsibilities
? Assume the role of liaison between all departments within the culinary division and all other departments
? Supervise department performance
? Develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to brand standards
? Plan, coordinate & implement special events and functions
? Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
? Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
? Monitor food production, ordering, costs, quality and consistency on a daily basis, ensuring financial performance and control
? Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
? Organize and facilitate departmental meetings, training and goals setting
