BASIC FUNCTION:

To promote and ensure guest satisfaction, achieve through the ability to develop and maintain a strong team environment, placing emphasis on associate satisfaction and delivery of prompt, courteous service. The executive Lounge Supervisor is accountable for sales and profit in the area, and brings into effect the superior product and service expected for our guests in accordance with policies and procedures adopted by the Hotel.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Actively support the quality improvement process
- Assume responsibility of daily operation of all assigned outlets
- Assist in ensuring that scheduling functions are performed accurately and on timely basis
- Assist in maintaining a highly motivated and well trained staff
- Ensure all associates acknowledge all guests, where possible guest names should be used
- Ensure Executive lounge area is always clean & tidy at all times
- Conduct daily shift briefing/meeting/meetings and pass on all relevant information to the associates
- Regular inspections of all work conducted within the department to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Develop and maintain a motivational working environment within the department
- Maintain positive relations with other departments
- Oversee the personal hygiene and grooming standards of department associates as outlined in the associates handbook
- Properly execute revenue and check control procedures on shift ( i.e. scheduling, time adjustments, etc.)
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and guests
- Find solutions for problems or any other daily problems that may arise

- During shift, ensure that guests are satisfied by assisting with serving, seating, communication with kitchen, and by striving to speak to all guests
- Be on floor during entire meal period and ensure adequate coverage
- Ensure that only a quality product is being served
- Monitor hours, staffing overtime on a daily basis for restaurant with accurate scheduling inline with forecast and budget guidelines
- Ensure all side work is done on daily basis
- Maintain proper associate uniform standards
- Manage an effective repair and maintenance program through the use of work orders, inspections, etc
- Assist any associate in her/his job performance, when required, to ensure guest satisfaction
- Understand and teach empowerment principles to ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist implementing an effective training program for new and current associates using used records, menus, and appropriate reference manuals
- Encourage problem solving by associates through proper training and empowerment
- Establish effective communication with associates to gain their trust and respect through his/her hard work
- Maintain fair and consistent counseling and/or disciplinary procedures in accordance with Marriott Guarantee of Fair Treatment policy
- Attend Restaurant associates meetings
- Demonstrate positive inter department relations
- Identify and recommend incentive programs, new ideas, and methods of operation
- Perform any reasonable request made by Management which is not life- threatening or against the law
