Foreign Student Trainee (Front Office Department)

Responsible for providing a welcoming, efficient check-in for each guest (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) maximizing the guest interaction while minimizing time spent - away- from the guest. Create delights for our guests by attending to their needs and performing our Whatever/Whenever service promise, including, but not limited to, cashiering and foreign exchange. Provide a fast/efficient check out with an appropriate farewell (Did you have fun- See you again soon).
Recognize our return, long stay and VIP guests and provide Guest Room Key Card them with a warm welcome.
Enroll our guests- who are not already part of Starwood Preferred Guest, into the program.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interact with guests upon arrival and during their experience with us. Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information. Promote the Starwood Preferred Guest Program and provide recognition and benefits to all present members.
- Log guest preferences and other relevant comments in Star Guest Recognition.
- Ensure that the Welcome Desk is in good order in respect of repair and cleanliness.
- Accept payment for guests- accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout. Cash traveler- s cheques and exchange currency for guests. Maintain individual cash - floats- . Submit any deposits to the general cashier and any/all reports at the close of your shift as stated in the SOP.
- - Balance- floats at the end of shift, ensuring any excess monies are submitted.
- Issue and control use of safety deposit boxes. Post miscellaneous charges as requested. Comply with Starwood rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel- s facilities.
- Monitor levels of stationary at the Welcome Desk, ensuring there is always a sufficient supply.
