1. Degree in a related field.
2. At least 8 years relevant work experience, at least 3 years in the hospitality industry in a managerial position.
3. Good written and verbal communication in the English Language,
4. Ability to maintain and repair relevant machinery.
5. Knowledge of functions of relevant technical systems and associated equipment and operational procedures.
6. Good management and supervisory skills.
7. Self motivated, Able to function independently
The Chief Engineer is responsible for monitoring the overall efficiency of the entire Serviced Apartment in the implementation for procedure for services, such as maintenance of the property operations, the M & E operations etc.
1. Oversees the operation of all relevant technical systems and regular inspection of plants & other technical operation.
2. Ensures that the preventive maintenance programme is implemented according to schedule.
3. Recommends any adjustment/modification regarding the system to achieve improvement.
4. Works out a systematic maintenance plan.
5. To be responsible for the administration and management of M & E services and property management.
6. Provides support for advertising & promotion events.
7. Oversees the implementation of energy audit and utility conservation measures.
8. Supervises team of technicians in specialized areas.
9. Initiates and plans major repairs and modification works and other programmes to improve performance of common services.
10. To liaise with local statutory governmental organization with matters pertaining to, including but not limited to, the use of utilities such as water, gas and electricity, licensing, Inspection, Testing to satisfy Statutory requirements of all engineering systems.
11. Formulates maintenance policies and operating standards so as to maximize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
12. Prepares the annual budget, monitors and controls the expenditure for the expected overall operation costs of the Engineering Section, especially the replacement of major equipment.
13. Ensures all term contractors? works meet the scope, terms and conditions as specified and agreed in the maintenance/works contracts.
14. To be responsible that all engineering staff is equipped with reaction procedures to emergency situations, especially power failure; lift malfunction, flood and typhoon.
15. To attend to staff matters, including but not limited to staff career development, staff safety, staff appraisal, training etc with assistance from the Human Resource Department.
16. To carry out other works as instructed by General Manager in support of the Corporate Headquarters.
