Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, components and devices, HVAC systems, boilers, mechanical systems and the maintenance and repair of all.
- Basic knowledge of public construction and building systems; all related permits, licensing, new and existing codes pertaining to public building and fire safety.
- Basic knowledge of furniture and interior repair and maintenance.
- Basic Knowledge of IT.
- Skilled in use of computers and software programs associated with Property Operations.
- Skilled in the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals and products relating to the department.
- Fair to communicate in the English language, both verbally and written.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
-Perform various tasks and assignments to the effect of running a smooth operation of the Engineering Department during his shift.
-Working on three rotating shifts as per duty roster prepared by the Asst. Engineer Assistant, the nature of his work, qualification and experience, he has to ensure that proper communications are maintained between his shift and other shifts.
-To ensure and monitoring as Duty Engineer?s assignment for the efficient operation of major plant.
-To read and record the utility consumption such as electrical, water, gas etc.
-Ensure all requests for maintenance are carried out within an acceptable time frame.
-Perform equipment repairs as per manufactures recommendations.
-To feed back to the Duty Engineer on matters pertaining to the shift operations, suggestions and issues that may further enhance the smooth operation of the Engineering Department.
-Responsibility for tools and Equipment using at all time.
