Responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and develop the hotel's computer system.
- Responsible to control the software and hardware operation of the computer system.
- To take care all it's related peripherals and interfaced devices.
- To discharge the duties in an effective and efficient manner.
TECHNICAL RESPONSABILITIES
- To assist for training the staff to operate the main 3 software, Introduction to the system., Front Office functions (Hotel Information System), Back Office functions, Outlets functions, Interface system (Point of Sale, PPV and PABX) --> Front Office --> Back Office.
- To assist in training basic computer knowledge and use the package software such as Microsoft Office, Internet etc.
- To solve the problem of using the peripherals of Front and Back Office system and Operating system.
- To assist the checking of the hardware out of service
- To solve the Front Office, Back Office and Sale & Catering software problem.
- To stand by and take immediately action when major computer breakdown occurred.
- To solve the problem of using the peripherals of Point of sale system.
- To assist the checking of the hardware and software out of order before call for service.
- To suggest for using Micro-computer, hardware and software
- To support Front Office, Back Office and Sales & Catering Software.
- Check system status to verify file size and capacity.
- Monitor automatic Back Office backup (at 3:00 a.m.).
- Check all print out error from night auditor.
- Check all peripherals to work smoothly.
- Meeting with staff to update job situation.
- Check and clear some files that is not necessary for all systems.
- Purge guest files.
- To do special reports for Sales and Account Receivable.
- Issue and follow-up goal & objective.
- To verify month-end processing of Back Office system to be completed.
- To assist for checking the reports when department have problems.
- To write a new program as operation requires.
- To check and change database when user request.
- To suggest the method to use the database and reports
