1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, following recipes and specifications provided by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
2. Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented according to the hotel's standards and specifications.
3. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food storage areas.
4. Follow all safety procedures and policies in the kitchen.
5. Monitor food quality and presentation throughout the service period, making necessary adjustments as required.
6. Assist in the coordination of kitchen activities during banquets and special events. Help with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils.
7. Ensure that all food products are properly labeled, dated, and stored in accordance with food safety regulations.
8. Assist with the receiving and storage of food deliveries and ensure that all items are properly labeled and stored according to food safety regulations.
9. Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
11. Take inventory of food and kitchen supplies and report any shortages or issues to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
12. Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of food waste and other kitchen refuse.
13. Assist in the maintenance of kitchen records, including temperature logs, cleaning checklists, and inventory lists.
14. Attend training sessions and workshops related to food safety, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations.
15. Develop knowledge of culinary trends and techniques and stay up to date with industry news and developments.
16. Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner.
