Job Description ? Corporate Operations Director

Position: Corporate Operations Director
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Supervises: General Managers (GM), Hotel Managers (HM), and Operations Managers (OM)
Department: Corporate Operations ? PCL Hospitality

Position Overview

The Corporate Operations Director is responsible for leading, supervising, and supporting the overall hotel operations across all properties managed by PCL Hospitality. The position ensures that each property operates efficiently, maintains brand and operational standards, and meets both corporate and owner expectations.

The role serves as the main representative of PCL Hospitality in communication with hotel owners regarding operational performance and issues, and collaborates closely with the Corporate Vice Presidents and Directors to improve business results, efficiency, and guest satisfaction across all hotels.

Key Responsibilities
1. Hotel Operations Leadership

Lead and mentor GMs, HMs, and OMs to achieve operational and financial goals.

Review hotel performance reports and ensure continuous improvement.

Visit hotels regularly to provide operational support and ensure compliance with standards.

Act as Acting GM or On-site Representative when the hotel?s primary leader (GM/HM/OM) is absent or the position is vacant.

2. Owner Relations & Representation

Serve as the primary contact between PCL Hospitality and hotel owners.

Build strong relationships with owners and ensure transparent communication.

Address concerns and present business reviews or performance updates.

Respond to any special requirements or urgent requests from owners by coordinating with corporate HQ for immediate solutions.

3. Performance Management & Strategic Direction

Develop and monitor performance targets and KPIs for each hotel.

Review monthly financial reports (P&L) with GMs and recommend improvements.

Coordinate with the Finance and Commercial teams to optimize performance.

4. Corporate Coordination & HQ Support

Collaborate with Corporate VPs and Directors (Finance, HR & Training, Engineering, Quality, Commercial).

Coordinate with Corporate HQ in case of complex operational issues, owner disputes, or compliance matters requiring HQ intervention.

Participate in business planning, audits, and performance reviews.

5. Brand Partnership Coordination

Liaise with hotel brand representatives.

Ensure all PCL-managed hotels comply with brand audit and operational standards.

Support brand inspections, training, and co-branding activities.

6. Organizational & People Development

Mentor hotel leaders and identify successors for key roles.

Promote PCL?s Core Values: Client Centric, Expertise, Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration.

Support leadership development and training programs in collaboration with HR.

Relations

Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Works closely with Corporate VPs & Directors across all departments

Supervises and evaluates GMs / HMs / OMs of PCL-managed hotels

Coordinates directly with Hotel Owners

Collaborates with Brand Representatives from hotel chains

Replacement and Temporary

Acts on behalf of the CEO in operational supervision when delegated.

Relocates or acts as interim GM/HM/OM in case of absence or vacancy at any PCL-managed property.

Handles special assignments or crisis management as directed by Corporate HQ or CEO.

They serve as the key bridge between the property, the owner, and corporate headquarters, ensuring consistent communication, accountability, and performance alignment across all PCL-managed hotels.
